Cornerstone Prep Students Getting Smarter Every
Day
Assessments Taken During First Week
Cornerstone Prep students take a number of
assessments during their first week of school. Teachers use the results of
these assessments to determine the individual needs of each student.
A comprehensive math assessment is one of the
tests given to Kindergarteners during their first week. The assessment consists
of 76 questions and covers a variety of Cornerstone Prep Academic Standards.
Scores on the first test ranged from 0 to 35 correct answers.
Students Re-Assessed after
Eight Weeks
The students took this same test last week to
measure their academic growth. Every student showed significant improvement in
the mastery of math.
Giant Strides - Individual Stories
The following three students reveal the giant strides made
over the last 8 weeks of school.

first assessment. She correctly answered 61 on the second test, improving her

8 weeks of work at Cornerstone Prep, She drastically improved her score and
was able to correctly answer more than 50% of the questions.
