Cornerstone Prep Announces Intern Program
First Intern Hired
Gardner
Hobson becomes Cornerstone
Prep’s first intern. Gardner
will work full-time, playing a significant role in the launch of the
school. Gardner will spend time
with students in the classroom, with parents in the community and
supporting
Principal Lisa Settle in the office.
Recent Graduate of Samford University
Gardner recently graduated
from Samford University
in Birmingham, Alabama with a degree in Sociology. She has
been working with Kindergarten students while finishing her degree. In
the
summers of 2008 and 2009, she was on staff at the Binghampton ministry
Service
Over Self (SOS), where she grew close to many children in the
neighborhood.
Love of Kindergarten Environment
Gardner
shares her excitement about joining
the Cornerstone Prep team: “I am even more excited about my upcoming
opportunity at Cornerstone Prep because this past semester I worked in a
Birmingham city school as a Kindergarten teacher aid and it confirmed to
me
that I love being in the classroom environment. I love seeing children
excited about learning, and I want children to feel loved and wanted at
school."
"I Want to Be Here."
"After learning about Cornerstone Prep and its values and mission from
Drew Sippel, it truly confirmed to me that I want to
be here. I want to be in Memphis,
I want to be in Binghampton, and I want to be at Cornerstone Prep - I
really
feel the Lord calling me to all three places. I really could not be
more
excited about working at Cornerstone Prep, and I am so grateful for the
opportunity given to me.”
Please
join us in praying for Gardner as she joins the
Cornerstone Prep team.
